#Graphics card for macbook pro 4k editing for mac#
There is a company in the UK called CreatePro that sell NVidia cards if you really need the CUDA cores, but stay the hell away from Macvidcards.ĭo a search on YouTube for Mac Pro and RX580 and you'll come across tons of great material. Eventually got my money back through Paypal disputes. They never answered a single email, tweet or DM. The tracking number they gave me was nonexistant. I ordered a 1060 from them at the end of November and never got it. I have to say avoid MacVidCards if you can. Might need to wait a couple of months unless you want to pay a 40% premium. The MacBook retina 12 inch iMac 27 inch MacBook Pro MacBook mini MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. Waiting to find one myself, as they have all been snapped up by miners. To connect external monitors with Mac computers, you can transfer details between 4k Ultra HD TV and 4k monitors. 120 FPS streaming will require a monitor that supports at least 120Hz, such as NVIDIA G-Sync Monitors or a MacBook Pro 14 or 16 with ProMotion 120Hz. Apparently this card is the one in the eGPU that Apple is supporting, so it will work without modified firmware. Intels integrated video sips the juice while NVIDIAs gulps it. There is one more difference though: it seems like the non touch bar Macbook Pro uses 1866MHz. The trade off is great video is battery hungry. 32 would be better and recommended for 4K video editing. The top end MacBook Pros have Intel integrated video which is okay but not great and a discrete video card for better graphic performance.

I have a 5,1 tower and have done quite a bit of research on it. Macs have never been built to appeal to the hard core gamer. There is a new vid card series called the RX580 that apparently works out of the box with Mac Pro Sierra and higher.
